The minimum age for a tandem jump is 16 (under 18 will require parental consent and one of your parents has to be on site during the skydive). There is no maximum age for skydiving, but anyone who is 70+ years old should speak with their physician before jumping.

The weather is always the boss when it comes to skydiving! Jumping can be restricted if the sky is too cloudy, if it's raining, or in strong wind conditions. If the weather does not permit you to skydiving on your scheduled day, we will reschedule. If the weather looks uncertain or you just want to know how the weather looks at the dropzone, please call us before you come out.

For the safety of our tandem passengers and their instructors, we do have a maximum weight restriction of 240 pounds. Weight limits for tandems are in place for many reasons such as parachute limitations, and harness fit and function. There is no height restriction. Please contact us if you have any concerns

As long as you are in general good physical condition, you should be able to skydive. You must be able to lift your legs for landing. There are certain physical and medical conditions that we cannot accommodate.

People with disabilities should call us before booking so we can assess your needs and do our best to make sure you are able to skydive and have the best experience possible.

Different medications have different effects, especially at altitude. Medications such as decongestants may make you dizzy, and if you are suffering from cold symptoms such a stuffed head that could cause issues (possibly painful ones!) at altitude. If you are sick, please call us to reschedule. If you are taking any medication please speak to your care provider to determine any possible side effects, especially at altitude.

No. We have a zero tolerance policy for recreational drugs, including legal ones, during skydiving operations.

• Bring your photo identification. This can be a drivers license, passport, ID card etc.

• Payment for your skydive (and any extras, snacks or souvenirs!) We accept debit, credit and cash.

• Snacks and drinks – It is important to stay hydrated and fed before and after your tandem skydive, and although we will have some items available for purchase, it doesn’t hurt to bring a few things with you, especially if you have any unique dietary needs.

• A positive attitude and a smile – Ok, this sounds corny, but its true. Everyone here at Skydive West Edmonton is excited to share the sky with others, so smile and enjoy the ride!

Dress comfortably ! Street clothes such as leggings, jeans or that cool matching track suit you have will keep you comfortable during your skydive. Bring layers if it's chilly (which it often is in Alberta even in summer!) For your safety, we cannot allow you to wear; heels or open toed shoes or sandals; athletic shoes are the best. Glasses and contact lenses are ok! All tandem skydivers are required to wear goggles, and we have some that will fit right over your glasses. Please leave your valuables and jewelry at home.

Generally speaking, you can expect to be with us for 1-2 hours from start to finish but the truth is, there are a few factors that can cause delays (such as weather!). So, we suggest giving yourself plenty of time to really enjoy the whole experience!

Of course! We have a large spectator area, with plenty of room to get comfortable! You are also welcome to bring your own food and refreshments, provided they are non-alcoholic.

For safety reasons you may not bring your own camera during a tandem jump. We offer great video and photo packages that you can add onto your skydive! Check out our pricing section for more information.

Cancellations may be made, but the 50$ deposit is non-refundable. In cases of weather, we will reschedule your jump for another day. If you need to reschedule for other reasons, give us a call at least 24 hours before your scheduled jump.

We have water, Gatorade and Red Bulls available for purchase but if you are looking for something to snack on - bring the hot dogs and burgers with you! We have multiple BBQs on site with propane ready to go. You and your crew are welcome to fire them up and cook your own!
